1. Website to look up We Tell Stories -> Penguin 6 Writers -> 21 Steps
2. Using Google skins could have an inter-textual jump
- linear sequence then jump into Google maps go to chracter or place then skip out and continue the story.
- Another way of using the map you could go to someones house or a garage and pin point where they were last seen
3. Need to nail down storyboard - look into Celtx for script writing
4. Find a strand in the story that connects to Cork in some way. Eg part of the story could be a volunteer or builder that build a hut and LRA tore it down.
- Main thing is to find a strand in the story that in some way connects Cork to Uganda
5. Story doesn't have to be true but must be effective
6. Use maybe a wrap around story - use Google maps to jump in and out of different stories and locations (maybe)

Trevors meeting oct 17
We had a meeting today with Trevor and we talked about our research into empathy and the technical research also. He told us to get a broader understanding of empathy and what is the true nature of empathy. We need to have at least one aim for the concept presentation. For next Tuesday we are each researching more into empathy, looking at other projects that are on the same topic and coming up with possible aims.

Meeting with Paul 13th of October
Summary notes discussion with Paul
- Pair of shoes people would step into that would generate a point of view thats not theres, maybe pulls back a twitter tweet.
- Use of heat or pressure sensors - Arduino
- exploring the idea of empathy through media technology
NB - work from bottom up as oppose from the top down
meeting with Paul 13-10-11
Discussion
We had a meeting with Paul and discussed the topic of empathy and the concept of "putting yourself in someone Else's shoes". Paul suggested an idea of having a pair of shoes that you would stand into and a sensor would trigger something to happen such as display tweets from the shoe owners twitter page. We also said you could have many pairs of shoes to choose from that would belong to people from different walks of life such as wellingtons, army boots, sandals etc. Paul suggested to look into how this would be developed/implemented for example with arduino's and heat or pressure sensors. We must research into other metaphors for empathy and more on the topic of empathy.
Tasks
We decided to divide up some tasks for the week. I will be doing the technical research and Lauren will be doing research into the Empathy topic.
